Pixel & Prosecco - A Beginners Coding Night

$50.00

Unlock the Coolest Mom Award—and a New Skill!

Feeling intimidated by tech? Let’s decode it together over a glass of prosecco.

As a homeschool mom of three, I get it. My kids wanted to learn how to code, and I had no idea where to start or if I even could. But guess what? I did, and you can too.

Join us at Knotty Laser for Pixels and Prosecco: A Beginner’s Coding Night. This is not a formal, boring lecture. This is a relaxed, supportive, and fun evening where we will dive into the world of logic and creativity.

We will utilize Scratch.mit.edu, a fantastic and visually intuitive coding platform perfect for beginners. The goal? To take the mystery out of coding and show you that it’s just another form of logic, problem-solving, and crafting!

By the end of the evening, you won’t just leave with a new skill; you will have made your own simple game or animation. And the best part? You'll have a URL to the project you can show your kiddos when you get home, earning you immediate "Coolest Mom" bragging rights.

What to Expect:

  • Guided Workshop: A step-by-step introduction to the core concepts of coding.

  • Low-Stakes Environment: This is about learning, messing up, laughing, and having fun. No grades, no judgments.

  • Supportive Community: A room full of moms just like you, all starting from scratch (pun intended!).

  • A "Crafting" Mindset: I’ll show you how coding is just another way to create and "craft" a digital story or object.

The Details:

  • Date: Friday, April 24th

  • Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Price: $50 Per Person

  • Who: Adults only, 18+

  • BYOB: 21+

  • Includes: Light snacks and hors d'oeuvres.

  • What to Bring: Please bring your own laptop. If you need to borrow one, please contact us beforehand to reserve a studio laptop.

Don't let tech intimidate you any longer. Come decode the logic, connection, and craft of code in a night designed just for you!
